Worship Is A Verb
What if worship is way bigger than singing a few songs on Sunday morning? In Week 2 of Altars & Idols, we’re tearing apart some of the assumptions we’ve built around worship and getting back to what the Bible actually says it is. From Genesis to Revelation, worship is never passive. It’s loud. It’s expressive. It’s sacrificial. It’s bowing down, lifting hands, shouting, rejoicing, serving, surrendering, and responding to the glory of God with every part of our lives.
This week we’ll dive into the original Hebrew and Greek words behind “worship” and discover something powerful: worship is a verb. It’s not just music. It’s movement. It’s response. And when people truly see the mercy and greatness of God, they cannot help but respond. The question isn’t “Can you sing?” The question is: “Can you see?”
